In 2 008\, he received the Walker and Doris Allen Fellowship for Faculty Excell ence. In 2013\, he received the Truman State University Outstanding Resear ch Mentor of the Year award. In 2019\, he received AAPB’s Distinguished Scientist Award and was honored as an AAPB Fellow. Dr. Shaffer was the pri ncipal co-editor of Evidence-Based Practice in Biofeedback and Neurofeedba ck (3rd ed.) and authored 12 of its chapters. He was a co-editor with Dona ld Moss of Foundations of Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback: A Book of Re adings. He co-authored with Mark S.
