SUMMARY:The Northeast Regional Biofeedback Society Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Northeast Region Biofeedback Society\, is a non-profit asso
 ciation representing the professional biofeedback practitioners of the nor
 theast region of the United States\, which includes New York\, New Jersey\
 , Pennsylvania\, Massachusetts\, Connecticut\, Vermont\, New Hampshire\, M
 aine and Rhode Island. In addition\, we welcome members from other states 
 to participate in and contribute to NRBS\, which is a regional society of 
 the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback\, Inc.\n\nBio
 feedback is a process that enables individuals to learn how to change thei
 r physiological activity for the purposes of improving health and performa
 nce. Precise instruments measure physiological activity such as brainwaves
 \, heart functioning\, breathing\, muscle activity\, and skin temperature.
  These instruments rapidly and accurately “feed back” information to t
 he user. The presentation of this information\, often in conjunction with 
 changes in thinking\, emotions\, and behavior\, supports desired physiolog
 ical changes. Over time\, these changes can endure without continued use o
 f an instrument.
