He argues, therefore, that in cases of psychosis, it is time to implement this therapy more widely. CLICK HERE for the article.

Colleagues,

As the fall is upon us and winter approaches, like all of you, the Board is ready to usher in a new year filled with optimism and hope of putting the challenges of 2020 behind us. I sat with a blank page for many days wondering what I could possibly offer you that would rise to the level of gaining your attention with so many other important issues taking precedence of our daily lives. And so that is where I will begin – in challenging times when our personal lives are distracted and our professional efforts are aimed at keeping our clients and our business as healthy as possible, trust that the organization’s leadership are not sitting idle but actively pursuing opportunities, exploring ideas and engaging others in effort to grow and establish new ways to keep our community strong.

I’ll spare the listing of all the efforts that are underway, but as you can imagine, there remains the primary goal of increasing the reach and awareness of neuroregulation techniques to the general public to increase confidence and consumption of services. Secondary goals remain to provide our membership with access to education, discounts and exceptional membership services. This year we are placing a significant focus on membership value and services. As our budgets feel the impact of the current socio-economic environment and we continue to want to share the benefits of neuroregulation in a healthcare system that is never ending in the challenge of reimbursement, we turn our attention to ensuring that your membership dollars provide actual value. To this end, there is strong support, both in namesake and financial, toward the ongoing efforts to gain appropriate insurance reimbursement for our services. There will be ongoing development of provider “toolkits” with documents, templates and best practices recommendations to save you time and bolster your expertise within your business. Finally, we’ll be rolling out additional opportunities for networking and sharing of information to members. This year in particular has been isolating and more than ever we need to rely upon our community of peers for information exchange, education development, and social interactions.

As always, we encourage you to get involved. You can do this by simply being a participant in the upcoming activities, enrolling in a webinar or even presenting your work and expertise in these venues. You can volunteer by contacting the ISNR office and letting us know any skills or time that you’d like to contribute. I look forward to being part of this exceptional team of directors and staff leading our organization into the next year.

Thank you for your continued support,

Leslie H. Sherlin, PhD, MAC, MSc, LAC, BCN, BCB, ECP, QEEGD, IBQED

The primary objectives that the founding members have set themselves since the preliminary meetings are the dissemination of Quantitative Electroencephalography (qEEG) and Neurofeedback.

One of the main objectives of SINQ is the constant scientific updating, its promotion and above all its dissemination in Italy. Therefore, an essential part of its mission is the organization and provision of courses, workshops, congresses and group activities aimed at fostering interaction between members.

Moreover, the society aims to cope over time the fragmentation that currently characterizes Neurofeedback training in Italy, trying to spread professional ethics as well as good practice in terms of both learning and the clinical application of tools that are as fascinating as complex to master.

To achieve this goal, SINQ has long-established contacts with the most important international societies of qEEG and Neurofeedback certification societies to introduce them in Italy, in the strong belief that this is the only way to guarantee a rigorous control on the educational training, updating and, above all, support the therapeutic efficacy among the providers.
