INTERNATIONAL SPOTLIGHT – ANSA (Applied Neuroscience Society of Australasia)

In this paper by Professor Roger Gurr, published in the Asia Pacific Journal of Neurotherapy in 2019, it is suggested that while there remain many questions to be answered, the epigenetic effects of developmental trauma in the causation of psychosis are highly significant and responsive to QEEG guided neurofeedback with very promising results. He argues, therefore, that in cases of psychosis, it is time to implement this therapy more widely. CLICK HERE for the article.

The Asia Pacific Journal of Neurotherapy is a free online non-profit journal that is sponsored jointly by ANSA (Applied Neuroscience Society of Australasia) and APNA (Asia Pacific Neuro-biofeedback Association). The journal is linked to the APNA and ANSA websites. There are two issues per year (May and November). The Editorial Board is made up of clinicians and researchers with an interest in Neurotherapy. Following submission of articles there is a standard peer-review process. Submissions with respect to this journal have been made to top indexing agencies.

This journal has a focus on research and clinical practice in the field of neurotherapy. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to, topics relating to biofeedback, neurofeedback, assessment using Quantitative Electroencephalogram (QEEG). The journal also has an interest to publish papers with a focus on other forms of neuromodulation such as Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS), photobiomodulation and Transcranial Electro Current Stimulation (tECS).

The journal will accept research articles and clinical case studies and review articles.
